Why ASC?

Autism Services Center (ASC) owns/operates a number of homes within the city of Huntington, West Virginia. Each home is carefully chosen and well-maintained to blend in with the surrounding community and is not identifiable as being an agency dwelling. Each is staffed 24/7 by employees who have been specially trained and are supervised.

In 1989, the WV State Legislature closed the last of the state-run institutions for individuals with developmental disabilities. ASC remodeled one of its homes to accommodate six medically-fragile individuals from that center. It is staffed by LPNs and direct support staff that are specifically trained in caring for the particular needs of those individuals.

Some of Our Homes

Autism Services Center is a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit agency providing quality services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Cabell, Wayne, Lincoln, Mason and Putnam counties in West Virginia. We presently serve approximately 250 individuals and employ a staff of almost 500.
